Welcome to WeeklyStory. This mobile application ("App") is operated by WeeklyStory Team ("we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using this App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Description of Service
WeeklyStory is an iOS application designed for Chinese language learning. It provides HSK-aligned reading materials, real-context dialogues, Pinyin typing practice, vocabulary training, and AI-assisted analysis features.
2. License and Intellectual Property
2.1 License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
2.2 Intellectual Property Rights
All content, features, and functionality of the App (including but not limited to stories, audio, text, graphics, code, and user interface) are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
3. Subscription and Billing
The App offers "Free", "Pro", and "Master" service tiers. The "Pro" and "Master" tiers are auto-renewing subscription services.
3.1 Payment and Pricing
Apple ID Payment
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
Regional Pricing
Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region.
3.2 Automatic Renewal
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period at the original subscription price.
3.3 Cancellation and Management

Manage Subscriptions
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.

Active Period Policy
No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period.
3.4 Free Trial

If a free trial period (e.g., 7 days) is offered, any unused portion of the free trial will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
4. AI Features Disclaimer
The App (specifically the "Master" tier) utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide grammar analysis and language feedback.
Accuracy
While we strive for high quality, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or biases. We do not guarantee the absolute accuracy of AI analysis.
Educational Aid
The AI features are intended as study aids and should not replace professional language instruction or official educational resources.
5. User Accounts
To access certain features, you may be required to create an account via email.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Unauthorized Access
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
7. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE APP.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service Provider is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to the subject matter of this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within such jurisdiction.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
